Description
Do you know a teen or young adult who is intelligent, funny, and kind, yet struggles to maintain personal relationships? Do you see someone living in a space between two worlds- where they understand “social rules,” but applying them in everyday life is difficult? Are you frustrated, knowing their needs don’t align with traditional supports and desperate to bridge this space? If so, welcome – this book is the bridge. This book is for you… and it was written for them.
My name is Micki Benoit, and like you, I spent years searching for a program to support this unique population; individuals who say they are “autistic, but not autistic enough”. I couldn’t find it, so I wrote it. Not Autistic Enough is a compilation of heartfelt reflections, engaging stories and practical strategies – and it’s redefining social skills group interventions. Here, I will help you better understand the unique needs of this neurodiverse demographic while also equipping you with tools to help them. Help them build the bridge so they can thrive, not just survive in this social world we all live in. This is more than a therapy curriculum or a book about autism. This is the book you’ve been looking for!
